主要学历和工作经历:
1985年毕业于四川大学生物系遗传学专业,获学士学位;
1988年毕业于北京农业大学作物遗传育种专业,获硕士学位;
1996年毕业于英国Nottingham大学生命科学系植物生物技术专业,获博士学位;
1996年2月至2003年8月,在复旦大学生命科学学院遗传学研究所及遗传工程国家重点实验室工作,先后任副教授、教授、博士生导师;
2003年9月至今,在上海交通大学农业与生物学院工作,任院长、教授、博士生导师、植物生物技术研究中心主任、复旦-交大-诺丁汉植物生物技术研发中心主任。

获奖情况:
1990年获上海市农科院科技进步奖二等奖;
1991年获得美国洛克菲勒(洛氏)基金会博士奖学金;
1992年获上海市科技进步奖二等奖(甘蓝型油菜(Brassica napus L)花药和花粉培养技术研究);
1996年获得国家教委留学回国人员基金奖励;
1997年及1999年两度获美国洛氏基金会职业奖学金;
1997年入选复旦大学“百人计划”;
1999年获得孟山都奖教金;
1999年获得教育部优秀青年教师资助计划奖励;
2001年获得“上海市农业科技先进工作者”称号;
2003年获得教育部“跨世纪优秀人才培养计划”奖励;

Kexuan Tang, male, born on December 26, 1963. Professor of Plant Genetics; Dean, School of Agriculture and Biology; Director, Plant Biotechnology Research Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Director, Fudan-SJTU-Nottingham Plant Biotechnology R&D Center. Adjunct Professor as the Head of Plant Genetic Engineering Group, State Key Laboratory of Genetic Engineering, Institute of Genetics, School of Life Sciences, Fudan University. Adjunct Professor of Sichuan University and others. Associate Directors of Shanghai Plant Physiology Association and Shanghai Agronomy Association. The expert committee member of Bioreactor Special Program of China National “863” High-Tech Program.

Dr. Tang got his Bachelor degree in Genetics from Sichuan University in 1985, his master degree in Plant Genetics and Breeding from Beijing Agricultural University in 1988, and his Ph.D degree in Plant Biotechnology from University of Nottingham, UK in 1996.

The main research areas: 1) Plant Bioreactor; 2) Plant Metabolic Engineering; 3) Gene Cloning and Transgenic Plants.

In recently years, Dr. Tang presides over 10 research projects including China National “863” High-Tech Project, China Transgenic Plant Research and Commercialization Project, Sino-UK Science and Technology Collaboration Fund to work on plant bioreactor, plant metabolic engineering, gene cloning and transgenic plants. He has published 135 papers in domestic and international scientific journals including 79 SCI papers such as PNAS, PLANTA, TRANSGENIC RESEARCH, CELL RESEARCH, PLANT SCIENCE, BIOINFORMATICS, MOLECULAR BIOTECHNOLOGY and JOURNAL OF PLANT PHYSIOLOGY.
