黄学林,男,1945年10月出生,硕士,中共党员,中山大学生命科学学院室主任、教授。

主要学历和工作经历:
1965-1970于中山大学生物系植物学专业毕业留校。1979-1982,本校在职硕士研究生(植物生理)。1985-1987作为访问学者先后在美国俄勒岗州立大学(Oregon State University)和康乃尔大学(Cornell University)进行植物发育的调控和种子生理研究。1990-1991康乃尔大学,合作研究,1999年以高级访问学者的身分访问过英国。

研究方向:
主要从事植物发育与生物技术方面的教学和科研工作,在植物学(植物发育生理及分子生物学)和生物技术(植物生物技术)两个方向招收硕士、博士研究生, 为本科生和研究生开设过《植物发育生物学》、《离体植物发育及其调控》、《植物组织培养与生物技术》、《发育生物学》等课程。

主要研究领域:
1、植物离体发育的调控及其分子机制(苜蓿体细胞胚胎发生的调控机制、TDZ作用相关基因的克隆及其功能研究;芒果生长素反应因子基因在芒果子叶不定根形成的功能作用)
2、香蕉种质的遗传改良(功能基因克隆,胚性细胞悬浮系及其转化体系的建立,原生质体培养等)。

Research interest:
1. Examining regulation mechanism of in vitro plant development mainly focusing on regulation of alfalfa somatic embrygenesis, cloning of TDZ (thidiazuron) regulated-genes and their function study during somatic embryogenesis. Studying function of ARF (Auxin Response Factor) genes which are recently identified during adventitious root formation in mango cotyledon section.
2. Genetic improvement of banana (functional gene cloning, establishment of embryogenic cell culture system and gene transformation, protoplast culture etc.)
